Kingsfield is software. It does not give legal advice and does not form an attorney-client relationship with you or your client. Every verdict is a checking result for a licensed attorney to weigh, not a legal opinion.
Your professional responsibility
Kingsfield is built to assist a licensed attorney, not to replace one. You are responsible for independently reviewing every citation, quotation, and holding in your draft and for the final content of anything you file or send. A Kingsfield verdict does not satisfy your professional obligations to verify your authorities, exercise independent judgment, or supervise the technology you use in your practice. Access is limited to attorneys who are licensed and in good standing, verified against the public bar roster.
Accuracy and no warranty
Kingsfield is provided "as is." It can miss errors and can flag authorities that are in fact correct. Citation-existence and quotation checks are exact by construction; the holding check is a judgment call and does not run at 100%. Results depend on the corpus available at the time of the check, which is current to its last refresh and does not cover every court or unpublished source. We make no warranty that a draft cleared by Kingsfield is free of error or fit for filing.
The Audit Capsule
The Audit Capsule is a signed record of what a specific check found at a specific time. It is evidence that the check ran and what it returned. It is not a certification that your brief is correct, not a guarantee against sanctions, and not on its own admissible proof of diligence.
The PII Shield
The PII Shield reduces the client information that leaves your machine by tokenizing identifiers it recognizes before a draft is sent. It uses pattern and roster matching and can miss identifiers in unusual formats. It runs in your browser, and its correct operation depends on your installation and environment, which is why the portal asks you to verify it is working before it accepts a draft. A fail-closed firewall at our server is designed as a second line that turns away PII-shaped input, but neither control is a warranty. The PII Shield is provided "as is," and to the maximum extent permitted by law we make no warranty that it removes all client identifiers. Protecting client confidences remains your responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WalkerNash Development LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kingsfield, including sanctions, adverse rulings, or losses from a filing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the rulings at issue in the [past 12 months / preceding 90 days]. Placeholder — cap basis, window, carve-outs, governing law, and E&O backing are counsel's to set.
Eligibility
Kingsfield is for licensed attorneys only. We verify your state bar number against the public roster before granting access. It is not a service for pro se litigants or non-lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice to the public.
